To coincide with the start of the festival, the Ghost Festival is releasing an album under the label Ghost Records. It features 187 bands from the line-up - not with their songs as you know them, but with their very own ghost sound. The Ghost Orchestra unites bands like Stephan Eicher, Annie Taylor, Chlyklass, Vera Kaa, Bubi Eifach, James Gruntz, Big Zis, Open Season, Pablo Nouvelle, Lina Button or Jeans for Jesus into a super group. This album is a unique and limited time document of Swiss musicians presenting a 187 interpretations of the ghosts of this time!
And who would have thought it: After the huge success of the Ghost Festival on 27 and 28 February, THE GHOST ORCHESTRA is actually on the 1st place of the hit parade!
The best thing about it: the 187 bands of the GHOST ORCHESTRA have decided to donate the net proceeds from the CD sales to the non-profit organisation SURPRISE. In doing so, they are sending a strong signal: SOLIDARITY CREATES SOLIDARITY.
