Who is behind the Ghost Festival?
The Ghost Festival is organized and realized by the specially founded Ghost Club. The Ghost Club is a collective of artists and culture lovers who want to support the Swiss music industry.
How is the income distributed?
The Ghost Festival has four different sources of income: Ticket sales, support contributions from our partners* (sponsoring), sales of merchandising items and income from the "support-now-button". 100% of the income from ticket sales and the "Support-now-Button" goes to the 1277 musicians from 295 bands (including technicians etc.). The amount will be distributed equally per head. Some artists/bands listed on the lineup will waive their "fee" in favor of the remaining artists/bands.
Also the support contributions of our partners and the revenues from merchandising flow after deduction of production costs and working hours of the members of the Ghost Club - who are also mostly from the music and culture industry - to the music creators. Some members of the Ghost Club waive their salary and support the musicians additionally. A detailed statement of accounts is prepared by our external trustee office after the festival. The Ghost Club is a non-profit organization. The goal of Ghost Club is to be back to "zero" after the festival.
Why is the band XY not on the line up?
Ghost Club actively solicited music makers throughout Switzerland in December to the best of our knowledge. We were aware that we would not be able to include all artists in this campaign. However, we will add new contacts to our database for possible future actions.
Is there anything in return for my support?
On your purchased ticket you will find a description of how you can have your festival booklet and at the same time your beautiful festival ticket sent to your home in physical form.
